United Hampshire Public Body

Make a complaint about legal services

Use the Legal Ombudsman after giving the legal-service provider the appropriate first opportunity to resolve the complaint.

The Legal Ombudsman considers complaints about the quality or administration of legal services where the current scheme gives it jurisdiction. It is independent and impartial between the complainant and the provider.

Before submitting, normally raise the matter through the provider’s own complaint process and keep the provider’s response, complaint reference and relevant records. If the scheme permits an exception because the complaint cannot reasonably be pursued first-tier, explain that in your submission.

The current United Hampshire scheme determines jurisdiction, time limits and procedural requirements.
